So, for the second time in a month, my laptop is off getting repairs. The first time because the track pad was not installed correctly when it was originally manufactured (yay!) and now because they messed up part of the screen when they were fixing said trackpad. Oh, and it stopped charging. But that last issue I blame on Spike, because I keep finding him trying to chew on the end of the charger that connects to the computer. Probably a bad thing all around.
I’m full of stories to share but find it difficult to write on my iPad instead of my laptop (I know, the mother of all whiny first world problems). Chuckles and I went on a date on Saturday, Spike is walking now, Mini-Me already wants to drop out of school, and yesterday Fidget told me, “Who knew a big mess could be so helpful?” Stories galore, once I can type like a normal person.
Speaking of stories, tonight my book club is meeting to talk about the book “Orange is the New Black.” Yes, the one upon which the tv show is (loosely) based. Have you read it? Seen the show? I read the book over the weekend and watched one episode of the show last night. I’m trying to work up some sympathy for the protagonist. I find it easier to be sympathetic to the show than in the book. Has any one else read it? I feel like I’m going to be the only one that found it difficult to feel bad for Piper. I need to know if I’m alone in this.
Now I’m into And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, with Paris up next. I don’t read a lot of fiction but I’m loving And the Mountains Echoed. What are you guys reading? Anything good?
