I know the first thing my mother will say about this outfit is, “Do you live in a compound?” You know, because the long skirt and the long hair and… well… no. I haven’t moved to a fundamentalist compound in West Texas. This skirt is, however, very comfortable and fits and I can still play with the kids while I wear it. Plus it was less than 20 bucks at Target! Wins all around.
Shirt: A cast-off from a friend. Also worn around Valentine’s Day last year. Skirt: Target Boots: Dolce Vita Java Boots
We’re off to a Valentine’s Day playdate this morning (hence the heart shirt, I’m so festive). Fidget is begrudgingly finishing up his schoolwork for the week as I type this. Then we just have to get in some time walking around the track while Sergeant Handsome does PT this afternoon and it will be time for pizza and Family Movie Night and a long weekend! I love weekends with all my guys.
This weekend I feel even luckier than normal to be able to spend extra time with the boys and Sergeant Handsome. This past week I’ve had many (too many) friends dealing with family members, parents, and children that are sick. And one friend that lost another friend in a sudden and unexpected death. It makes me heartsick and wish that I could be near all of them to help where, if, I could. Much love and many prayers and good thoughts are being sent from here in Texas. And extra hugs are being given to my own family here with me- all five of my guys, big and small.

DO you live in a compound? I felt I had to say that. ❤
